Intelligent System for Goods Management will be Implemented in Belarus

On May, 17 Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich held a meeting to discuss implementation of Intelligent System for Goods Transportation in Belarus. The business plan of the investment project was elaborated by State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and National Academy of Science of Belarus. This business plan, which includes international standards on identification, is supposed to create a reliable base for the monitoring of goods flows on their way from warehouses to logistic centers and trade organizations on the level of transport and logistics flows.

RFID technology provides higher processing of the product information, eliminating the human contact with this product completely. This project is going to be a step-by-step implementation example of the Single Trade Information Space concept. It supports creation of a common framework for product accounting according to the international rules. Besides, this project presupposes the transition from paper to electronic documents and creation of common information resources which contain electronic passports of trade items.

At the meeting there was also a discussion on the necessity to use electronic passports of trade items both on internal and external markets of Belarus. It will help to unify descriptions of Belarusian products and integrate information systems. This approach will lead to a complex development of modern logistics in Belarus.
